ABOUT
"Why?"
I prefer simplicity, so I will keep it simple.
Life, to me, felt like a constant downhill.
I can use excuses like the never ending Economic crisis, Real Estate prices, Covid, Wars, Genetics...
But, I think the reason, was no other thing but me. I made bad decisions, sometimes none at all.
Which, looking back, could have been easily avoided if I knew what I know now.
I am not special, many suffer from the same problems I do.
So to be fair to my past self, I must try, not to let anyone else go down a path I did.
"Why a website? Why not use a social media account?"
Social Media websites, and most "knowledge" Websites tend to focus on engagement. Engagement, I think, is the wrong metric to track when it comes to wisdom.
A person who collects knowledge but is not given time to act on them, is not going to get wise.
Social Media coaching makes one feel they are improving and preparing, but they are actually just procrastinating. Most coaches and influencers are forced to leech off of such behavior (otherwise the algorithm won't push them).
Ideas that are forced to run in the rat race of social media, I think, won't become useful and die off.
"Why call it sumo sage?"
Each idea is a piece of wisdom, hence sage, but each idea also has strength, it is a warrior, hence a sumo sage.
These ideas are supposed to battle themselves, and those that are defeated, must leave.
Sumo Sage is an arena where weaker wisdom gets removed over time.
I follow quite a huge amount of rules when deciding which content should go on this, but the general idea is:
My past self, the consumer, must never be overwhelmed with unhelpful wisdom.
Must never be given feel-good quotes that are not change inducing.
And, must never be forced to keep interacting with Sumo Sage "as much as possible".
